Those prices are outrageous! Particularly if you want the full package. $500 will translate to £500 over here. I have no reason to change from Office 2007 and would consider Open Office before forking out so much money.

I'm still using Office 97. It's version of Outlook is now incompatible with modern software, but that's no problem - I never use it anyway.

I'm still using Office 2003! But it's handy having a student in the household. ;)

I wouldn't bother "upgrading" any further Simon, i find ver 2007 very unintuitive (and i use it every day) and I can only imagine the next incarnation will be equally crap.

I far prefer 2000 to 2007 myself Dave but it came pre-installed on this machine. PC-World are advertising a 2010 upgrade for £59.
