A group of music publishers filed suit Wednesday against LimeWire, a popular online file-sharing service that has already been found liable for copyright infringement in a separate case.

- I really don't see the point in them pursuing this, its just surely a waste of time and cost. Then again the music industry just want to make more money... eventually they will realise that they pushed everyone away and they will all find music in other forbidden places anyway.
-
They're not suing those who used LimeWire's service, though. It's a repetition of the Napster case.
-
The music industry should put its own house in order, maybe they'd then have less illegal downloads to contend with?
-
Limewire itself doesn't provide files to download. It just enables other people to do so. This is a bit like charging a gun seller with murder.
-
I suppose if they supplied weapons illegally, they could be charged.
-
They did have bullet-in boards.
sorry

:aarrgh:
Could a gun seller be charged for telling you where to get a gun illegally?
If a man jumps off a cliff, is it the cliff's fault for being there? ;D

That didn't help napster. Then again the music industry have bigger fish to fry really... torrents. Anyway we will all be streaming our music for free soon anyway.
