Humans do have psychic powers, study claims (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/science-news/8142192/Humans-do-have-psychic-powers-study-claims.html).
I'd have dismissed this research as cranky... but it's been published in The New Scientist!
Now, come on guys... you just knew I was going to start this thread, didn't you?
;)
-
No, but I believe it's true! How else do we suddenly think of a person three seconds before they call on the phone? Or, be thinking of a tune, then it's played on the radio?
-
simply random coincidence, or your mind makes you think you made the decision before the fact but you didn't.
And New Scientist, lol.. don't get me started about New Scientist. Still I'll take a more detailed look at the article later.
-
Knew you'd say that. ;D
-
Put it another way, Simon, how often do you think of someone and they don't call? Or if you're listening to the radio, how often do you have a song in mind which isn't played?
-
The people that don't call are just plain inconsiderate, and if a radio station played all my records, they'd be closed down. ;D
-
I get annoyed when people try to telephone me but find the line is engaged, then complain later. Who's paying for my telephone, anyway?
-
The report - by a part-time magician turned psychologist
;D
New Scientist is the equivalent of The Sun in scientific circles. It's articles are well presented but most border on the ridiculous.
-
Isn't that more like the Mail, then, Clive? ;D :scoot:
-
I get annoyed when people telephone, Gill. It's there for my convenience, not anybody else's, and they always ring at awkward moments.
-
That's why I never phone anyone. I like to be considerate. ;D
