Actor Johnny Depp has said that his portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates Of The Caribbean was not liked by Disney bosses.

I loved his interpretation and I think that's what made it such a big success.   8-)

I thought The Black Pearl was entertaining but the subsequent movies were awful.

I agree, Gill, the original was by far the best.

I quite enjoyed them all - shame he repeated the character in films like Alice in Wonderland... p**s poor.

Haven't seen that.  Didn't appeal.

it wasn't bad... a nice continuation in a way, I saw it in 3D and the 3D was rather poor, as it wasn't recorded with 3D imaging. Oh well, probably better on a normal screen though
