The "jewel" in Orion's sword, the star-forming cloud known as M42 shines with new light in a picture released yesterday by the European Southern Observatory's 2.2-meter telescope in La Silla, Chile. Also called the Orion Nebula, the bright cloud is just 1,350 light-years away and is one of the best studied celestial objects.

I love the picture of the Crab Nebula!

Did someone mention food?
-
Trust you Rik!
-
I am nothing if not consistent - usually consistently hungry. ;)
-
And crabby if not fed. ;D
-
What's your beef? ;D
-
Only that there's not mush room on the plate. ;D

Was it? :dunno:
-
Part of 'My Old Man's a Dustman'.

I've got that record somewhere. B side was Mother of Mine, iirc.
-
It was. :) You must have started buying at a very young age. ;)
-
I did, but I also used to buy ex-juke box singles for 5 pence each at the local newsagent. Half of them had the bigger juke box hole in the middle, so I kept having to swap the plastic spindle adapter from one to the other to play them. ;D
-
I remember those well. We used to have box loads of them in hospital radio because we received donated 45s with the centres out.
-
I've still got box loads of them! ;D
-
;D
So start playing them. ;)
-
Nothing to play them on now. :(
-
That's the problem, isn't it. We move on, keeping the media but not the means to use it. :(
-
I even bought a 7" single fairly recently, knowing I couldn't play it, but I had everything else that the band had released, so had to have it for completeness, as it has an exclusive track on it. Unfortunately, I've never heard it! :bawl:

Time for the old pin and finger trick. ;)
-
Time for a download version! ;D
