A friend has an XP machine, and keeps getting warning messages that C drive is running out of space. This is a partition on a larger drive, but only 20Gb has been allocated for Windows and programs, so I suspect it's getting clogged up with temp files, and the recycle bin. Is there any way to allocate more space to a C drive, without formatting the whole drive?

Possibly:

Thanks. I suspect that will be a job for me. :bawl:

Aren't they always?
-
Seem to be. Trouble is, it takes me twice as long as it should, because I only vaguely know what I'm doing - but I still get asked!
:sigh:

You can do it relatively quickly and easily using gparted running from a linux live cd.

That's if you know how, Steve. ;)

I use Easus on windows
You can enlarge or change particians many other processes with a hard drive
Just go slow and
DO NOT REFORMAT or all will be lost

I'd have suggested that.. 8-)

Thought you might. ;D
-
Of course you would, Sam. ;D

they been downloading anything? Wonder if that's filling up the drive?
-
or friggin system restore.
-
That's usually limited to about 10% maximum, though, Sam. Memory dumps may be an issue though.
-
System Restore is a good point. I'll get them to check that.
-
That would be a good system restore point, then? ;)
