Dear God, have people nothing better to do? :o: ;D
-
nope. 95% of my tweets are automatic things from blogs etc...

I might be in a minority of one, but I find Twitter very useful to find out:
what is on at the local theatre;
what the Ramblers Association is up to;
to keep an eye on Chorley FC's away matches - they have a live Twitter feed from the match;
what events are being held at the library;
what my walking companions have planned;
what bands are playing at the several pubs in Chorley with live music at weekends;
what the local councillors are up to, although whether it is truth, propaganda or lies they post is open to debate.
All in one place. Very useful if you are picky about who you follow.

Wow! I had no idea it was that useful Dave! Perhaps I should take a look at it. :)

I'm amazed it's five.

Time flies...

It's older than Netters.

I'm still resisting it. :)

Me too.

yep I also use it to watch the progress of sport - in particular the Calgary Flames /Hitmen when I can't watch the game.
I use it to post to my facebook wall (as my phone is a piece of s**t) and was rather useful recently when I got a flight change at the last second because well the plane was fooked. I couldn't call (didn't have cash or time to go to a phone booth) and my phone refused to text internationally... so twitter it was. She was there waiting for me.. so it all worked well.
