His Lordship is buying a new laptop tomorrow and has promised me his old one to see how it runs under Ubuntu :thumbs: . Incidentally, on booting up his old laptop there is a warning message about the battery failing. How difficult would it be to replace the battery?

Yes, it will be a whopping great thing rammed into the side of the machine Gill. You often have to just push it in to release the clip and it will spring out. You will easily get a new one from Amazon or elsewhere on the internet.
