I'm not sure I follow all his logic TBH.

Also, he calls Linux Mint 10 Isadora. When I installed it, it was called Julia.

Can't say I've actually tried linux mint recently, tried it briefly on the first version

Yeah according to wiki Julia was v10 and Isadora v9 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_Mint

I tried ubuntu with unity
Didn't like it so stayed with mint

From what I'm reading daily ubuntu's latest release has a lot of bugs

Of course mint 11 has a few of its own

So I run Mint 10 and probably will stay with it until mint11 bugs are fixed or mint 12 comes out


Sam try mint10 you will be surprised at the progress thats been made

They even have a debian testing version as a rolling release

I might have to try it ... I don't like unity - had to switch to classic mode. Indeed it appears the most buggy Ubuntu of them all. Was considering going Fedora the otherday!

Might try Mint when I get a few mint, load up a usb disk with it on and all.

Oh and I love Debian. Shame my office doesn't run that. Though it just doesn't feel like an operating system to run at home.

If you love debian then mint debian would be for you
It can be run as stable Squeeze as well as testing wheezy

I run it as stable on another drive works great
also comes with different desktops LXDE and XFCE

Fedora 14 is unity and missing a lot since 13

Yeah I was thinking Fedora 13.

Oh I've never liked LXDE and XFCE. I'm a gnome man.

Actually I should rephrase that. I don't go around fecking Gnomes. I like the desktop used in linux called gnome.

I only use Gnome myself
Seems to work better for me

Never know Sam a rep as a Gnome shager just might make you president someday

Lol - bet I can pull the I was born in Hawaii trick ? I pulled of being a native American to get into the Calgary stampede for free last year
