Title: Ubuntu 11.10 Release Schedule Changed, Alpha 2 Delayed

The release schedule for the upcoming Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot) operating system has been modified last week by Canonical. The second Alpha version was supposed to arrive for testing last Thursday, June 30th, but it was rescheduled for July 7th.

Post by: sam on July 05, 2011, 15:44: oh its awful. I'm tempted to drop back a version, having lots of issues with it on my laptop. Earlier today I couldn't close windows I had open, very strange. I really don't like all this unity stuff either. Why can't we just stay with actually having desktops.

Its based on ubuntu but with fixes and a few extras

Ive been running Mint 10 Julia since it came out and it is so much better than ubuntu

Mint 11 still has ubuntu 11 bugs so far so I would do 10

I'll boot it on a usb disk to try it out at some point this week, well once I'm not running around like a headless chicken.
