... yeah, not sure I see the point. On a touch screen device you really don't need (or want) a proper OS.

Indeed, and likewise, I can't see the point of, say, Android emulators on an iPhone.  If you want an Android phone, buy one!

true, but the iphone does have one of the best screens.

The again, its the same as always - why not get it working too. If you have the time and money then people will do most things... but I don't see the point as the end user.
