Facebook has unveiled a new dedicated page for businesses, as the social network battle rumbles on.

Google has tried to grab a slice of the social network market with the launch of Google+, but has warned business users it would shut down their profiles, as official corporate profiles aren't yet ready.

Facebook has taken the opportunity to remind everyone of its business system, unveiling a dedicated microsite with step-by-step guides to setting up Pages, buying ads, creating apps and mobile versions, and making use of social features.

“Facebook allows small businesses to create rich social experiences, build lasting relationships and amplify the most powerful type of marketing - word of mouth,” a Facebook spokesperson told Reuters. “We created Facebook.com/business to make it even easier for people to reach these objectives and grow.”
