Until I stop Scripts, also a message tells me to reinstall the Toolbar! how do I reinstall it?
-
Hi Jim,
Firstly, what version of Firefox are you running, and what add-ons do you have? I suspect everything just needs to be updated, or possibly one of your add-ons isn't compatible with the latest version of Firefox.
-
Hi Simon , I have disabled all add ons & it still wont work properly, I think the version is Firefox 6, I have tried downloading new copies ,but still get the same results. I'm running Firefox 7 beta on my laptop.
-
What exactly is it doing?
-
Simon, when I click on the Firefox logo it takes an eternity to launch the window with Stop Script button, then when Firefox opens there is a message in the navigation bar " Firefox was not able to load Toolbar reinstall Toolbar"
-
OK, if you've removed all the Firefox add-ons, it must be referring to another toolbar. If you've any idea what that might be, I'd try uninstalling it, and if it isn't essential, don't reinstall it. I'm not a fan of third party toolbars, as they tend to clutter up the viewing area, and can also change your settings, or contain spyware.

Hi Simon, It appears not all of the extensions were stopped,it turned out to a AVG Toolbar in Extensions .....Jim :thumb:

Thanks for letting us know, Jim.
