A friend of mine has forgotten his PC password. Anyone know how he can get into his PC. Operating system Windows 7.

I don't know how people do this! Why create a password you can't remember? ::)
Anyway, if it's a user password, he may be able to log in as Administrator, and create another user account, or reset the password on the original. If he's actually forgotten the Admin password, I think things may become slightly more tricky, and as I don't have Windows 7, I wouldn't like to advise. Rodders may be able to help here. :)

Thanks Simon.
Seems crazy that he should have a password not easy to remember, I agree.

I remember people getting around this with xp but that was a king time ago. Worst case imo is to copy all the files off using a Linux live cd and reinstall windows creating new accounts. That should allow all files to then be accessed. Not that I have tried this though.
