Chrome, otoh, gives all your data to Google.
-
And SMF doesn't like it.
-
All our data belongs to Google!
-
Yes, but some we keep to ourselves.
-
And SMF doesn't like it.
Good point.
-
But I'm sure most of the problems are caused by the users.

how do you know these facts Rik.Is chrome really that bad for doing that
-
It doesn't give all your data to google, unless you are logged in - then it passes the data you want it to.
-
That we know of, Sam. After the Street View fiasco, I don't trust Google.
-
Actually there are a couple ways to use CHROME browser without sending information to google

-
Thanks, Davy. :)
-
do you use them Dave?
-
I use both with different settings
They are chrome browser without sending to google
Both are just as fast and secure
They sometimes are a version or two behind but that doesn't effect the use
-
I've used Iron browser - actually, it performed where Chrome failed when we were testing the new forum software.
-
I use Iron as a backup to firefox
-
I don't find it quite configurable enough for default use, and there doesn't seem to be a way to import passwords and cookies, so it would be difficult to switch from SeaMonkey.
-
Plus the rust is an issue. ;D :scoot:

Sure there is
its under preferences-personal stuff- import from another browser
Seamonkey and chrome share the same base now
-
Oh, that's interesting. I'll give it a try, but I don't think it will move me from SeaMonkey, as there's the mail component too.
-
It wont move the mail client
But you can install thunderbird mail client and iits the same
Then physicly move seamonkey mail info to thunderbiird
-
Yeah, it's all doable, I guess, but not really much point, as I'm happy with SeaMonkey. :)
-
Thats what choices are about on the net
We all have difference preferences and still are able to enjoy each others company
Its like I enjoy a good looking lady and some prefer good looking sheep :o:

Oh, what a surprise! ;D

Indeed. Before trusting any research, see who funded it.
