Another version?? ::)
-
I might wait a few days...
-
Does it give you a choice?
-
Usually, but who knows anymore with the rate at which they are changing things?
-
Indeed.
-
got it today....does seem quicker but is that all in the mind as I remember thinking that after the last update too :D
-
Its a little faster on sites loaded with java
memory leak seems to be fixed in FF9 since in ff8 it came back after fixing it in FF7
-
All I can say is... FFS! ;D
-
I don't think hexa-decimal goes up to S. :o:
-
I wish they would fix this memory leak in Chrome before my computer sinks out of sight!
-
Well... :o:
-
Chrome sucks! >:(
-
We told you so! :wahh:
-
Try this: http://www.srware.net/downloads/srware_iron.exe
It's Iron Browser - the Chrome equivalent that I think is de-Googled.
-
I tried to go back to Avant but that's taken a change for the worse. Chrome seems OK on the sister computer. Can ait be the new hard drive? I'm half sorry I didn't put the money to a new machine.
-
Can't really see how it could be the new hard drive, unless Chrome is looking for a cache on a different drive, or something, but that's just a wild guess.
-
If it will let me import my Chrome bookmarks then I will consider it. ;D
-
Well another niggle is that when I turn on, an error message comes up saying "Warning - the chassis has been opened, press F1 to continue" :dunno:
-
Sounds like it needs to go back to the repairers to me.

Clive, I used to have a machine that came up with that alert. There is a setting in the bios that disables it, but you will have to root around for it as I can't remember where it was hidden.
-
But rusts easily...
-
Thanks Dave, I haven't looked in BIOS for years.
-
indeed there should be a reset - if you can't find it let us know your motherboard model etc
