We may all grow to love it, but Microsoft痴 radical operating system redesign will require some painful adjustments.

I bet it can be made to look like Windows 7. :)

Of course, Microshaft has a track record of following up a good operating system with a $hit one:
Windows 3.1 - Good in its day - followed by Windows 95 which was ghastly.
Windows 98SE - Good in its day - followed by Windows ME. My four year old granddaughter could have done better.
Windows XP - Probably the best they've built - followed by Windows Vista which was truly appalling.
Windows 7 - Very good.
Therefore, it is as near as damn it 100% certain that Windows 8 will be a pathetic heap of $hit.
I won't hate it, as I won't go near it. ;D

I think my next upgrade will be to Windows 7, and I'll probably stick with it. That's when the death knell is finally rung for XP. ;D

XP is most definitely the best. Win 7 is very good but it can sometimes be difficult to find your way around it if you are trying to sort out a problem. I will be buying a new machine before Win 8 comes out.

Same here, Clive. I don't like an OS that makes it difficult for me to do what I want.
