 A five-year lifespan turned out to be all that netbooks got. Acer and Asus are stopping manufacture from 1 January 2013 - ending what once looked like the future of computing.

I brought one this year... still the perfect size for me in my bag and carrying around school. Much more useful that some tablet piece of s**te.

I must admit that I love mine and use it 90% of the time.  I've now abandoned the desktop in favour of my recently bought laptop when I want to do something a bit more serious.
