I needn't have panicked myself into buying a new laptop in November! :bawl:

I think you can often opt for Windows 7 to be installed, but I was looking on the Dell site the other night, and they all seem to come with 8.
-
I'm still glad I went for 7. 8-)
-
I would too, if I were to buy a new machine - or, I'd get one with no OS installed, and use the copy of Windows 7 I bought when it came out, and which is still sealed in it's box.

If it ain't broke..... :D

Windows 95 was good but then again so was my Amiga 1200 with Workbench. For Gods sake try it you might find that you prefer the faster loading, running and shut down. I can now use Works 9 which did not like running on W7 but is fine on W8. :P

I loved my old van but then I bought a Peuogot Partner, I did not want to change but I am now glad I did, sometimes you have to keep up or you are in danger of falling behind. If folk would try W8 for a while and stop believing everything they read they might be surprised. ::)
