Title: No sound working

Since I reinstalled windows 8.1 I can not play any music or any other sounds. Any thoughts on what try? Help

Did you get a manufacturers CD with the computer?  They usually have all the required drivers on them. 

Just a thought - it's not on mute or zero volume is it?

It certainly seems like a driver issue to me.

Have you looked in Device Manager to check that a Sound device has been installed?

The driver was missing and when I tried to install through windows it failed. I down loaded one direct and it has fixed the problem. Thanks everyone.

I must admit my computer is running much faster and I must resist installing so much on it. It has made me re-look at the way I do my emails including forwarding from my domain email.  :D
