Title: Alternative to Sony Vegas Pro 13

Well my daughter informs me her trial of the above has run out and she can't use it any more (she's into video editting, vining !!?  :dunno: etc).
Muggins offered to buy it for her, then she informs me its £400 ++  :woot:
Does any one know of any suitable alternatives, i haven't got a clue. I did suggest window movie maker to her which didn't go down well   :P
