Title: Mary Wilson
Post by: Clive on June 22, 2017, 22:54
We went to a Mary Wilson concert tonight at our local theatre.  What a fantastic singer she still is at 73.  Obviously she sang lots of the Supremes hits but also a few Tina Turner songs as well.  Definitely worth seeing.

I thought you were going to say she was dead!  Is she the one who did My Guy?  When I was a child, there was a neighbour we used to visit who had one of those old Dansette records players.  She only had one record, and it was that!  So, whenever I hear My Guy, I think of that neighbour.

That was Mary Wells.  She died in 1992.

Oh.  Well that demonstrates my in depth knowledge of Motown.   ;D
