Title: Speakers and Headsets
Post by: Big_Boss on November 24, 2002, 20:10
Hi,
I have a problem. Well its not really a problem more a niggle. Yesterday i went and bought a headset with a microphone built onto it so i can use it during games. It works fine but when i want to use it i have to take the connection out of the back of the speakers and plug the headset in.

Is there a connector that allows you to connect both the speaker and the headset to the back of the sound card at the same time?

Advice would be appreciated,

It's not an ideal solution, but you can pick up a 3.5 stereo socket doubler from most electrical outlets.

The only problem with these is they don't cancel the speakers when you use headphones and vice versa.

A better solution is the speaker systems that include a headphone and microphone socket. Unfortunately it seems to be the lesser quality speakers that include this facility  :(
