Title: April Stevens Dies

Aged 93 so she had a good innings.  She had a huge evocative hit with her brother Nino Tempo in 1966 titled "Deep Purple".

The song has been recorded by many people but theirs was the most memorable and reached No. 1 in the American charts.  My newspaper says 1966 but other sources say 1963.  I'm sure Den will clarify for us.

It was 1963 not 1966.  That's what all videos were like in the olden days Simon.  How we suffered back then!  On the other hand we knew no better and never imagined OLED screens.
