Which OS are you using Andy ?
Have you tried scanning that particular file for a virus ?

Hi Andy :welcome:

Is it the Vectorworks program which is giving the C++ error message? If so you'll probably find that the file you are trying to load is unfortunately corrupt in a way that causes Vectorworks' error handling not to work correctly :(

If you don't have a backup copy of the file and it is important, I would contact the software company to see if they have a utility which can recover some of the file for you.
