Title: Looking for a File
Post by: bmjjmass on July 20, 2003, 14:22
I have a old computer and it crashes every now & then. I use the reboot disc to restore it back to the original factory settings. My problem is I can't install Microsoft Works 3.0. When I try the software tells me I'm missing the file "share.exe". I had this program before in my system so how can it be possible to be missing this file now? Is there somewhere I can go to download this file or what can I do to install my software? Thanks for any help!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
According to this article on MS Knowledge base it sounds like you may have it in your Autoec.bat but not in the Congif.sys file :

Hope that this helps  :-*
