Can someone tell me the easiest way to save my favourite web addresses to disc prior to erasing my hdd's?
-
I do mine once a month, simply by locating the Favourites folder and dragging it to a floppy.
-
I just put all the addresses into a text file, but that's because I had 3 favs ;D

Open Internet Explorer, then click File > Import and Export and the Import / Export Wizard should start, Arthur. Follow the steps to Export Favorites to a file, say on your desktop, then copy it to a floppy disc, or simply browse to your floppy disc drive from the Wizard, and save the Favorites directly to it. You can also save them to CDs, of course, but most people can fit theirs on a floppy.
To get the favorites back, use the Wizard again, to reverse the process. Hope that helps. :)

Yes, that's the way I do it too. As Simon says, it's a very simple exercise and foolproof.

@arthurb
Hi Brian
Do as Simon says but also save the cookies as well, when you import you favorites into your new setup import the cookies as well and it saves all your login passwords for your forums and sites
Brian ;D ;D

Hang on, Arthur. Did you just say "...erasing your H/D's" ? :o
It sounds to me like there may be a more significant problem that we should be addressing. Just give us a shout if you need some advice, would you?
