Title: Another prob I have - Missing files?

Hi all
Another problem I've had which I've searched these boards for but can't see is ....
Alot of my files mainly I'd say downloaded ones don't appear in the folder that I put them in unless I "search" for them?  If I open the same folder in search and not on the desktop there's a tonne of files there that don't appear when I open the same folder on the desktop. ??? (does that make sense?)  Any idea how I can make them show up?  I'm using Window's Millenuim.

Cant think why its doing that Michelle unless you have it set to NOT show all files.
If you open a folder and go to TOOLS then FOLDER OPTIONS then VIEW,scroll down the list until you see SHOW ALL FILES,tick that and see if it helps :doggie:

Have you set your system up to "Show All Files", Michelle?

My Computer > View > Folder Options then click on view tab and put a tick in "Show All Files".

Thanks guys but

it does say show all files and folders - there's not one that actually says show all files though?

All the rest are ticked apart from launch folder windows in separate process

 ???

ah I mean't to say

"show hidden files and folders" is checked   I don't have one that says "show all folders"
