Title: Idle?
Post by: Dominic on October 09, 2003, 23:34
Dunno what it is, i have cable, meant to be a continues connection, yet my msn signs out, at first i thought it was just msn, but when im on Mirc it d/c the same time as msn, and this is happening often, just wondering is there some sort of idle setting on Win xp pro that makes these progs end.

I dont think that its XP Dominic, mine does it occassionally saying that I have signed in at another location even though my no 2 PC isnt even switched on at the moment.
It hasnt done it for a few days until this evening and it has just done it twice now in less than 10 minutes.
I think its a fault with msn messenger itself, possibly a yet to be fixed bug in msn 6 as it seems to happen more frequently since I upgraded to msn 6  ???

meant to tell lona actually, there a few things we were putting down to moz, that were due to msn 6 problems .... like the messages about OS not opening attachments.

Mirc does it the same time, so it's not msn. And Sandra ya problem about other locations, one reason could be when u open Ms Outlook it opens the old msn as well .. and signs in auto, knocking of the newer msn.

No its not that as it does it even when I had nothing actually running apart from background stuff that always runs  :(
I was away from the pc and it had changed my status to away after 5 minutes or so.
When I came back here, I was about to open IE but before I had moved my mouse or clicked anything it signed me out  :(
I signed in again and logged onto Pals and within 10 minutes it signed me out again just before I replied to you  ???
