Title: Quick Question

I'm about to foramt, (Win Xp) and i know as soon as i get my net connected i'll get either blast as nachi .. So what i wanna know is it ok to install a firewall before my internet? that way it should stop it. I just need to know if i install a firewall before internet that it won't mess up my internet when its installed. Im on 1meg NTL.

Absolutely Dominic.

Don't even consider hooking up your Internet connection until you have up-to-date Firewall and Anti-Virus protection. Download them before you re-format and write them onto CD so you can install them immediately that XP is installed :)

Ahh cool, i always installed these after my internet was connect, thought they may conflict my net connections or summin ::)

Download and install the patch that stops XPs vulnerabilty to madblast too, prior to formatting then you can reinstall that before connecting to the net again Dominic. :doggie:
