Title: Urban myths page
Post by: Dack on October 15, 2003, 08:17
http://www.snopes.com/ (http://www.snopes.com/)

Is pretty much the definative resource for all those people who send around "My friend smelled this perfume and got robbed" or "It's true this happened to a friend of mine, they went to a Chippendales show and etc." ;)

Had to print out the perfume one to show a policeman the error of his ways when he sent it as a serious security warning to everyone at my works  ::)

Who'd have thought that "Ring 'o' Roses" is not about the Black Death after all? (Pity they don't have the myth that Fleming discovered Penicillin on there).
