Title: Space Invaders

Does anyone know where I can down load the original game of "space invaders" for free?  I've got a newer one but its not as good.    ::)

I had the original ROM code for the Amiga, but I'm not sure whether it was ever ported to the PC.  Any takers?

I have a CD with a lot of the old arcade games roms on but I have never been able to suss out how to load them  ???
I will have a look again over the next few days and let you know if I can sort it out Michelle, or if anyne knows how to run the old roms on XP (probably in a DOS window is it ? ) can let me know then that will simplify things  :)

I'm sure I have it on a floppy disc, Michelle. I would think you would have to install it from Dos. If you want I can look it out for you. :D

Michelle, I have searched through all my floppies and can't find it. My daughter took some of my diskettes home with her when she got her pc so I will ask her if she has it. Sorry about that. :(

Alien Sky is based on the old favourite Space Invaders, but updated to take advantage of better graphics and sound. The action is fast and furious with plenty of different alien spacecraft to defeat.

Even more impressive are the different formations they take - understanding the weaknesses of each is key to succeeding. Enemy ships can also intercept power-ups, adding another level of difficulty to the game.

You can control your space ship with keyboard, mouse or joystick. There is also the possibility to post high scores on the games website.

Verdict

A nice update to an old classic.

Sorry that it took so long Michelle but I think that this may be what you are after, it certainly looks to me like the original arcade version, and its downloadable and free  :)
