Title: Back Up
Post by: arthurb on November 23, 2003, 17:54
I have recently downloaded lots of windows updates from the web. How can I create a back up disk of my XP Pro SP1 OS with the recent upgrades so that I won't need to download them again should I have to re-load the OS?

AFAIK, you will have to wait for Service Pack 2 before you can do that ArthurB. The service packs have a mechanism that allows you to integrate their files into a folder containing the original XP CD files. You can then burn the resultant folder to another CD.

You could create an IMAGE of the HDD (or partition).
Norton GHOST or PQMagic will allow you to do this.

Go to the SYMANTEC website and check out ghost.
