Can you unplug any usb devices that you arent going to need for the initial startup Measter ?
See if that cures it.
It appears to be having a problem loading one of the drivers.
Does it start up ok in safe mode, with or without the usb devices attached ?
-
i'll just go up and try that
[edit]
i tried that and it came up that <some path i can't remember>\system32(i think)\system is missing or corrupt. and that to enter the windows cd and to repair. i put it in and done what it said. then it asked to put in a command in at the command promte(c:\windows) so i put in fixboot and it came up:

i'v just disconnected everything from the usb ports, and it worked untill i tried to get to the partition screen. at that point it came up what looks like the same error as before. last time this happened i had to format the computer, and that was about 2 months ago :wtf:
-
Sounds like a problem with your IDE dribers then Measter.
Do you know what motherboard you have?
-
no, a cpu repair shop replaced it when my old one got fried somehow :( apparently it was because of the way teh ide cables were plugged in but the first way we plugged them in was the same way they were plugged in when we got it from the repair shop
-
If you install a program like Si Soft Sandra, Aida or Belarc Advisor, then that should identify your motherboard and alow us to be able to tell you where to get the latest drivers from.
Did it get into safe mode fully or have you not tried that yet ?
-
well, it wouldn't let me boot before because a file called system was missing or corrupt. but i tried fixboot again and it did finish and booted uo. still nothing about the usb drivers yet but i'll run berlac advisor
i still can't believe it booted *cue usbport.sys error*

System has recovered from a serious error
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
This problem can be caused by:
1. A damaged Virtual Memory Manager Page file.
2. A faulty RAM (memory) module.
3. A RAM module that is NOT compatible with the computers chip set.
If the RAM is OK or changing it does NOT fix the problem:
01. Right-click My Computer and press Properties.
02. Select the Advanced tab.
03. Press the Settings button under Performance.
04. Select the Advanced tab.
05. Press the Change button under Virtual memory.
06. Select No paging file and press the Set button. Press Yes if prompted.
07. Press OK, OK, and OK.
08. Shutdown and restart your computer.
09. Right-click My Computer and press Properties.
10. Select the Advanced tab.
11. Press the Settings button under Performance.
12. Select the Advanced tab.
13. Press the Change button under Virtual memory.
14. Select System Managed size and press the Set button. Press Yes if prompted.
15. Press OK, OK, and OK.
16. Shutdown and restart your computer.
Enjoy
Brian :P
