I'm having problems with my E: & F: drives. E:=ATAPI CD-R/RW 12x8x32 and F:=PIONEER DVD-ROM DVD-115. Running Windows ME. If I put a blank CD-R disk in either drive and click the properties it indicates the disk is full. When I try to burn a CD with Nero or Roxio they both tell me to insert a blank disk even though the disk is blank. Tried several different known blank disks.
I just this morning got rid of the W32/Klez.h@MM and W32/Elkern.cav.c viruses. Had Norton on board, or so I thought. Installed McAfee and followed some of their instructions and am now virus free, according to McAfee. Thought this might be the problem but problem persists. Sorry if this is a little hoaky but I'm not real versed with these things. Any help or suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

Has this only just started happening or have you just installed the writer?
Some burning programs seem to conflict with each other.
I know that Lona was having a problem with having Nero and Adaptec easy cd creator on together and has had to uninstall nero to be able to use easy cd.
If you have only had this problem since installing the secomd burning prog then uninstall one and see if that helps :)

You may have something there, Sandra. I believe I downloaded an updated version of WMP in early or mid November. Had not noticed Roxio until sometime after that. I have'nt tried burning anything since early last spring so not sure when problem arose. Just became aware of it about two weeks ago. If I have to uninsall one, I think I'd like to be rid of Roxio, if only because I'm just a little more familiar with Nero. What should I be looking out for? Thanx.

You may actually have to uninstall both progs and then reinstall Nero afterwards as they can conflict and corrupt each other.
The funny thing is that I believe that Roxio took over Nero last year so you would thing that they would be compatable :(

I'll give a go in the morning and see how bad I can mess it up. I hope that is the problem. Thanks again.
