Title: Formatting my c drive

Hope this is in the right section. ???
Need to format my hard drive as my pc is slowing up, have done it before but that was when i was on win 98.
i`m now on xp, can anybody talk me through it.

Do you mean, you want to save your data and such, and then reformat and reinstall XP ?

It is in the wrong bit, I will move it after I answer you  :)

Have you already got what you need saved on CD  ?
If so just either use a 98 boot disk and boot into dos then type Format C: or, change the boot sequence to boot from the CD and let it format the drive before you re install XP  :)
