Title: Rapid access to the interesting sites
Post by: joudi on January 13, 2004, 09:13
If you like to access rapidly to some interesting sites (like pc-pals) by creating a shortcut on the desktop, you open that site and right clic on an empty space of it, and select "Create a shortcut".

Nice tip, Joudi.  Only for IE users though.   :)

To open it in another browser, right-click on the desktop and choose "New" > "shortcut".  A command line box appears.  Type in http://www.pc-pals.com click next, name it (Pc-Pals) and then click the "finish" button.  Although the icon will look like an Internet Explorer icon, double-clicking it will open Pc-Pals in your default browser.  It works if Opera is your default browser, so I can't see why it won't work with Mozilla.  To tidy up, right-click the shortcut and change the icon.

Yes, that's also a good trick, Dave, and works in whichever is your default browser.   :D
