Title: Avant Browser

Anybody heard anything about Avant Browsers...just that an on line friend said I should have a look at it..for more info look Here (http://www.avantbrowser.com/) and Here (http://avant.getskinned.org/)

Ive heard about Mozzila but whats Avant like?

i'v used avant browser and it is a good browser. i still use it when i'v got to use ie's engine. cause ie sucks ;D

As I understand it, Avant is basically a different body on the IE engine, admittedly with some extra functions, but whether is still has the same security issues as IE, I don't know.  I have tried it,and it was a bit cluttered for me, but that's only personal preference.

I think its better to use a Stand Alone browser. If your going to use any browser that uses I.E. engine you just as well use I.E with a pop up stopper. Im trying the new Mozilla Firefox-seems good so far!

yes, but its hard to get a good free popup stopper for ie. ie doesn't have the tabbed browsing features. you can block certain things form showing on a page(ie. flash animations, images, sounds, videos, etc.)

    What I mean is if you want Pop Up Stoppers and Tab Browsing, it is better to use a separate browser with these things in than use a shell that fits on the I.E. Engine. With a browser such as Mozilla Firefox it is a separate piece of programming and therefore not prone to I.E. security problems.

I tried out avant before I found FF about 5 years ago. FF beats it hands down with its addons.
