Title: Adding Ram
Post by: Lona on January 23, 2004, 21:43
I have been checking various sites with a view to purchasing 256 sdram 133mhz 168pin unbuffered dimm and find there is a vast difference in prices. I have heard that there is quality ram and not so good  Does anybody have any advice on this matter.? :)

My advice would always be to use Crucial.com (http://www.crucial.com/uk/index.asp), Lona.  They are not always the absolute cheapest, but you can guarantee quality and compatability.

I'm glad you said that, Simon, as that's the very one I was considering buying from.

I would go with Crucial too if buying on line.
If buying locally, where they would let you take it back and try a different one then it may be worth saving a few pounds, otherwise I would say Crucial everytime  :)
