Title: Windows XP and Norton Anti Virus
Post by: PhilTheFish on January 31, 2004, 16:16
I've just installed Windows XP Pro. All my program files stayed as they wetre originally, but I noticed that Norton AntiVirus wasn't starting up with my PC. I tried to uninstall it and reinstall, but when attempting the uninstall I got the following message.

Error 1606 could not access network location \documents and settings\allusers\desktop

Any ideas anyone?

Phil

Cheers Adept,

I'll have a bash tomorrow - going out on the ale in an hour.

In fact I probably won't be in any fit state to edit the registry tomorrow
