Hi all, how you all doing? Its been a while I guess.
Hope you all had good Christmas and new year!
-----------------
Windows 98 SE
On power on, the STARTUP MENU is displayed EVERYTIME.
There is no error message.
The cursor is set on "START WINDOWS NORMALLY", which I thought was rather strange, it would usually highlight "SAFE MODE".
HELP!
Thanks in advance...

Not sure if this is the same with 98, but with XP, if you go into Start > Run > MSCONFIG, you can alter the boot settings. Don't know if that will help, Ket, but I didn't like you to think you were being ignored! ;)

LOL, thanks Simon, I was beginning to think I had shamed the forums or something...
I'll give it a try, any other ideas in the mean time would be good! ;D

Well,
MSCONFIG > it was set on "DIAGNOSTIC STARTUP", with "Enable START MENU".
Why oh why was that selected????
Strange.
Oh well, thanks for the pointer!

Glad that sorted it, but it doesn't mean you can disappear again Ket! ;) ;D ;D
