BSOD Query
«

Hi all
Had the following BSOD today, the first ever on this laptop. It is a sony fx401 running windowsXP Home.
I haven't installed any new software or hardware recently, can anyone shed any light on why it has happened?
Cheers
DJ

I used to get that quite a bit DJ
I cured it by turning off the automatically restart after system failure in System Properties/Advanced/Startup and Recovery

I remember looking into something like that Simon, when mine was doing it.
Apparently a program that has been using some memory before hasnt released it after you have closed that program, so it starts to run low on memory.
As I said since I unticked the auto restart it never had that problem but presumably it must still hang on to the memory but it doesnt seem to affect my PCs performance

Thanks all
The automatic restart thing was already off Sandra.
But since its the first one I've seen, I'll just hope it doesn't happen again
- I'll let you know if it does.
That page Simon means nothing to me either!
