Hi again, yes, ive gone all retarded again. I'm looking for a driver for my motherboard. O.S is XP, BIOS type is Phoenix-Award BIOS v6.00PG and chipset is Intel 2560 rev 1. The main reason is to get my AGP working properly as it keeps messing up. AGP has been playing up since i nicked a motherboard out of another PC.

You can usually find it written on the surface of the mobo somewhere.

Is it onboard AGP or a seperate card? just delete the driver you are using now and reboot it should reinstall it self

Its the on-board AGP port that i need to work.

I took the board out of another PC primarily because my old board didnt have an AGP port.

I went there, downloaded the bios and updated it (still faulty), downloaded the "nVidia" graphics driver (still faulty). I know the card works because it works on my brothers pc. And i know the slot is compatible as this card is a 2x / 4x AGP when this board is a 4x AGP slot. Am i being stupid and downloading the wrong things, or is there something else i can try? The old system was a HP 423.uk pavillion by the way. On that hp site i found the motherboard and its info. but no drivers, just the above.

When you say "The old system was a HP 423.uk pavillion" is that your original pc or the one that you got the new mobo from ?
In the specs its says it has an AGP slot so I assume its the new one ?
If it is then the only applicable drivers appear to be the ones you have already got for the Nvidia adaptor  
Maybe try downloading them again and reinstalling them

Yes, the mo/bo came from a hp 423.uk. The mo/bo is now in a "emachine".

OMG HELP!!! I just installed an intel graphics driver, now when windows starts, the screen goes blank. I cant do anything. I put my recover cd in but that didnt do anything. Now im really stuck

Im on my brothers computer now as i cant use mine anymore

Start up in safe mode and uninstall the graphics drivers.
As it wont load the graphics card drivers at that stage then you should be able to do that ok

Does it try to start in safe mode, and can you get to a C: prompt?

Have you still got the onboard graphics you can connect your monitor to?
