Topic: How to find IP address?

I have 2 PCs using ICS - where do I find the IP address for the PCs? If I do an online search thingy the same addy is given for each PC. I'm using XP Home.

In olden days of windows you used to be able to click Start > Run > tye winipcfg and hit OK

The sites that show the IP addresses will only show your WAN IP addy Ian so all the pcs on your LAN will show the same one.
If you go to Network Connections and click on your LAN icon to highlight it then you will see that pcs own LAN IP address and the Subnet Mask.
Just do that on all the pcs on your LAN

You'll find all sorts of other interesting info if you add the /all switch as in

ipconfig /all

I've just tried the ipconfig /all.  A screen (looked like a MSDOS Prompt screen) flashed by with some information, but vanished before I had time to read the first line.

Same here Dave but I sometimes get that from the DOS window in mine

You have to do the Start|run|cmd thingy that Ian mentioned to get a command prompt and then type ipconfig /all
