No its usually quite clearly marked either near the power supply connector or often on one edge of the mobo or sometimes between the white PCI slots.

i moved the jumper but it didnt work. what am i doing wrong? should i just take it to my dads freind where i got the parts?

Without knowing which mobo it is and whether the clear cmos and password jumpers are set correctly its hard to suggest a next step.
If your dads friend has the manual or can identify the mobo its probably a good idea to check with him
