Awwww you're such a sweetie Sandra  :-*

I was just going to say the keyboard socket would be next to the mouse one, and was checking on the colours too ... you beat me to it  :-[ 8)

Firstly I have a usb keyboard. The socket next to the mouse socket is the one my son uses for plugging in his mobile phone. The speakers go into 2 sockets with a small I think blue socket with a sound sybol on it which I would think is for a MIC. I have 6 usb sockets 2 of which are on the keyboard. I have a digital camera in one usb and a web camera in the other. I have a printer and keboard plugged into the 2 usb sockets on back of pc. I have 2 vacant usb sockets at the bottom of PC. I have a yellow small socket which I think says in with female round socket beside it which says video.
The PC is HP pavilion p111 1ghz 40gbt 256ram.
I have been round the back with a torch and a magnifiying glass. I feel like Sherlock Holmes here, all I need is the deerstalker and a pipe :D ;D :D

My last pc had one jack speaker socket but these speakers have 2. They connect into female sockets just like the mouse.

I think your easiest solution Lona is going to be to get a PCI sound card. Then you can disable the onboard sound and use that one instead. You can buy one sufficient for your needs quite cheaply  :)

The other way is to see what motherboard you have then we can possibly see what the specifications are for it and hopefuly find out exactly what your options are.

To save you pulling your PC to bits if you install a program like Si Soft Sandra ( I think you said you may have it somewhere  ;) ) that will tell you what your motherboard make and model is  :-*
