Topic: Can't copy an audio disc successfully

I have a Toshiba satellite A-130 using XP Home and SP2, I'm running an up to date version of Nero(6.??)but am unable to burn a complete copy successfully. I've tried slowing the write speed to 4X, it goes further, but does not finish the disc. I've used the same brand successfully before(on a different PC). Any suggestions or is this SP2 playing up again!!

Have you burned that make of disc successfully before  
SP2 does seem to have problems with Nero 6, I have not been able to erase DVD RWs since having SP2 on even though I have now got the latest version of Nero and the latest updates

Are you trying to burn disc to disc?.  If so I would try copying original disc to hard drive and try burning it from there.

Is the source disc copy protected?

1)I have burned this brand successsfully previously.
2)I 'm not copying disc to disc as I only have one drive.
3)My mate has SP2 and Nero works for him
4)Source disc is copyrighted, this may be a problem, I'll try another source disc.
