« on: January 11, 2006, 12:35 »
Hello, since i got a new mobo, an Asrock P4i45GV, it turns on for a moment, i mean it sounds like a normal start one second, (cooler works, no beeps), then it stops and resume again, always start two times so i always thought it's normal..but is it?
I say start, maybe i must say boot, you know i suck in english
Thank you in advance

Do you mean that it starts then shuts down and then restarts by itself or do you have to push the button again ?

Do you mean Windows fully loads, then restarts, or is this happening within a few seconds of you switching on the machine?

I think its doing it before it loads the bios Simon  :?

Its probably not loading the GFX drivers properly but I cant understand why it reboots itself  :?

Right Sandra, it is just a moment, no time to display anything .. i thought it was a feature to check the power supply or the voltage because it is new, i assumed it was right, now i am worry

Well as long as it does start without you having to do anything I wouldnt worry too much.

Does it start ok if its just been shut down for a few minutes or is it always the same ?

It almost sounds as if the power supply is "soft" starting so it needs to build up its power doesnt it but I havent heard of anything being designed to do that on a pc  :?

Is it a new power supply or have you used it in another pc or with a different motherboard before ?
