McAfee seeks spam volunteers
« on: December 18, 2007, 13:00 »
Security company McAfee is looking for five volunteers to take part in a study about spam email.

Called Super Spam Me, volunteers will be required to reply to all unsolicited email that they receive in a 30-day period.

The project was inspired by Morgan Spurlock's documentary Super Size Me, which followed Spurlock's efforts to eat nothing but fast food for 30 days.

Though McAfee's project is unlikely to have a detrimental effect on the health of the volunteers, it may endanger your bank balance if the spam comes from cybercriminals attempting to steal financial details.

McAfee will be monitoring all the spam email received by the volunteers, who will be paid £30 for their efforts.

The project will commence in January 2008. If you're interested in taking part, please send an email to giving your age, gender, occupation, daytime phone number and the average number of hours spend online to superspam@redconsultancy.com
