Techcrunch also included on that web page is a link to a free open source compatible audio/video player.Videolan

Have had trouble with Techcrunch ,kept saying invalid Url.  So I have downloaded the DownloadHelperfor the Firefox browser. And it works a treat. I can then watch the video via the Videolan media player.

I like aTube Catcher for this purpose.  Not only will it grab the videos, it'll recode them into a variety of different formats.

cool, shame it looks like a windows only app.. I will have to see if I can get it working in WINE.

I use downloadhelper addon in firefox. Since its just a FF addon it should work in linux.
